You may have made a New Year's resolution or two, or maybe like me, you threw a few things away in honor of the New Year.
I saw an email from our Chamber of Commerce regarding 2018 resolutions for their members and they encouraged those of us reading it to share with others. So I am!!
I think this short list will help our Club grow and thrive.

If you haven't been able to make the SIS luncheon recently, pick a month to attend.  We've had great speakers and amazing inspirations and this is
where friendships begin.

If you've never been to a SIS Board/Business meeting, pick a month and attend one. This is where decisions for the direction our Club goes and grows happens.

Get involved. We have events, programs and fundraisers and lots of opportunities for everyone. Those members who have joined a committee have all been happy they did so.  Whether you have a lot of time or a little bit of time, there's a place for you.

I'm looking forward to my new year...with all of you!

Founded in 2006, The Greater Contribution (TGC)  is a non-profit, all volunteer organization, founded by a small group of women seeking to make a 'greater contribution'  to the world by helping people living in abject poverty.   We do this by raising awareness and funds for micro loans that help poor women and their families work their way out of poverty and by being a vehicle for other individuals and groups who want to make a greater contribution to our world.   We have just celebrated 10 years of operation and providing over 11,000 loans!
We believe that regardless of skin color, gender, or nationality, we are all one--one humanity. With so many people around the world struggling to live in unimaginably difficult conditions, we believe that we all must begin to shift our thinking from a focus on "me" to a focus on "we".  We believe that by working together we can help transform the lives of the nearly 3 billion people (almost half of the world's population) struggling to live on less than $2/day.  We focus on women and children.  Women make up 75% of impoverished people around the globe.  In addition, studies show that women are community builders; when you help a woman, you help the entire community.
