Quick tip!
Emailed tickets could end up in spam filters

If a patron doesn't receive their emailed PDF tickets, it could be that their email program marked it as spam. If they find it in their junk mail folder, ask them to mark it as safe or whitelist the email address you use to send tickets.

Free ticket printers available!

Need a printer but it's not in your budget?

One of our very generous clients has three Practical Automation ETX thermal printers to donate to a worthy organization.

Are you seeing "Email address is required" while trying to process credit cards in Wintix?

There may be a setting you need to adjust in Authorize.net. Here are instructions to do that.

Important Wintix updates

Our product development team is always improving our software so it is important to regularly update your Wintix.

In Wintix, go to Help | About Wintix and click on the "Download update" button.

Highlights include:

  • A better credit card processing interface (see article below).
  • Easier to read transaction approvals
  • Improved reporting functionality

Read the full list of what's included in the latest updates.

Improved credit card processing interface
The process of charging credit cards in Wintix is now easier and more intuitive. There is now a "Process card" button on the Payment tab when you make a sale.

When you click the button, Wintix brings up a new window, where you can either manually enter the information or swipe the card.

When to use "Generate a mailing list" versus "Export email"
First, determine what it is you want to accomplish.

Use "Create a new list" for most email and mailing list needs.

Most of the lists you need can be easily generated by going to Mailing list | Generate a mailing list | create a new list.

If you want to create a new email or mailing list for everyone or for specific groups on the database, this is how we recommend doing it.

View a tutorial on how to create an email list.

Use "Export email" for custom mailing needs.

While you can use "Export email" to create a general email or mailing list, the email export program is primarily used for custom queries. If you need special reports that are not included in our standard report formats in Wintix, the email export feature comes in handy.

Here are some lists you can run from "Export email."
