Happy 2015! We have a few new things for members this year.
First of all, we are launching a web based software program called ChamberMaster and offer it to you as a benefit of membership. ChamberMaster is designed exclusively for Chambers of Commerce around the nation. This state of the art program allows chamber members to be in control of their online business information with the ability to add/change company description, post Hot Deals, Member to Member Deals, post jobs, access the weather and post events on the community events calendar. The main contact person for your company will receive an e-mail from us with login instructions. ChamberMaster is being rolled out at the January Power Breakfast, however, if you are not able to attend the breakfast, please call our office and we will be happy to set up a time with you to go over the details.
Next, we will be featuring one chamber member business a month in our mid-month newsletter starting in February. All member business names will be kept in a "hat" and one name will be drawn at the end of the month. We will contact the business to set up a photo opportunity and then interview the owner/rep to learn more about their business. A member business will have the opportunity to be featured no more than once in a 24-month period.
Members will be asked to be part of the program at our Power Breakfasts/Lunches. I will contact members to see which month they will like to give a 10-15 minute presentation on a topic of interest for the rest of the group.
We offer these as part of our continuing strategic plan to Promote ~ Educate ~ Network.

2015 Chamber Directory Ad Sale Prices
The 2015 Chamber Directory will be available February 2015. If you want to have an ad in this year's guide you must be a chamber member. There will be 10,000 guides printed and distributed throughout the local and neighboring communities as well as at state tourism centers. The deadline to apply for an ad space is January 12th.

Volunteer Appreciation Night
Thursday, January 29th will be 2015's Annual Volunteer Appreciation Night! The event will begin at 5:30pm at Bruno's Banquet Hall. Come and enjoy light appetizers and an awards ceremony as a "Thank You" for all you do to help the Chamber be the best it can be! Invitations have been mailed.

2015 Home and Commerce Show
Saturday March 7, 2015 will be the Home and Commerce show! This show is in its 21st year and provides a unique opportunity for the public to see around 175+ exhibitors from traditional home improvement and remodeling contractors, landscapers and arborists, roofers and window companies, as well as from finance and banking, travel and leisure, photographer, bakers, and more! Again this year there will be Spotlight Presentations from several businesses with attendees given a chance to win a special drawing at each presentation. Absolutely Waterford's Annual Meeting January 13th
Absolutely Waterford will elect members of its 2015 Board of Directors during the group's fourth Annual Meeting, scheduled Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Waterford Public Library, 101 River St. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

SCORE SE Wisconsin Business Workshop: How to Write an Effective Business Plan
Workshop description: This three Module workshop program is spread over several weeks to allow you to finalize a solid business plan. The format includes lectures, discussions and breakout sessions with several mentors, "hands on" coaching during the workshops. Mentors will continue one on one coaching between and after workshops until completion of your business plan.
Module 1 (January 10, 2015): Business plan overview; market research; defining your product and services; and preparing a SWOT analysis.
Module 2 (January 24, 2015): Marketing & sales strategy; mission, vision & objectives; and legal structure & ownership.
