SUMMER 2012
From the Director
January 2016

Dear Friends,

The Matty Fund is starting 2016 with a big BANG!  In an effort to be more accessible to all Rhode Islanders, we have moved to the City of Warwick.  Our new office is conveniently located right off route 95, exit 10:

250 Centerville Road, Building B
                           Warwick, RI 02886
                        401-921-4466

We will continue to provide our programs and services as usual and of course free of charge!

The new year also brings new leadership to our organization!  Joseph Siravo, CPA succeeds hi s father, Richard, as president of the board.  Joe is an Audit Senior at Deloitte & Touche LLP in
Boston and has been a board member of The Matty Fund for the past four years.  His passion for the organization is especially reflected in the success of our annual 5K which continues to grow and raise awareness throughout the region.  His experience in accounting and business will be an asset to the foundation as well as his deep understanding of how epilepsy impacts the entire family when a child is diagnosed.

Preparations are underway for our annual Snow Angel Ball to be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016!  New this year is the addition of the well known regional band, Sugar, and an exciting new live auction! RSVP here and get ready to have a Ball!

Thank you for your loyalty and support in 2015.  We are so excited for 2016!

Sincerely,
Marisol Garcia
Executive Director

 Meet Grace!

Grace was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was 11 months old.  For the past nine years, she and her family have been participating in The Matty Fund programs and events.  She enjoys the special events like the Egg Hunt and Pumpkin Festival. Her mom saw an unbelievable transformation while Grace was riding the horses at Camp Matty - she was calm and collected and really focused on the moment.  Grace is now flourishing in Middle School and is involved in drama and chorus.  She made first honors!  Go Grace!
