A goal is like a road map we make to help us accomplish the things that are important to us. As we work toward our black belt, each color belt is set up like a road sign to guide and motivate us along the way. Having these steps helps us stay on track when things get tough. Goal setting is often called "the master skill of success". This is because if you can learn how to set goals and work to achieve them, there is nothing that you cannot do - or as Zig Ziglar puts it, "what you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals".
