HEESAKKER PARK
ICE SKATING
It is time to dust off those skates and come out to Heesakker Park for ice skating! The last layer of ice was put on the week before Christmas. Every year, weather depending, the Little Chute Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department creates an ice rink at Heesakker Park. Heesakker Park is right off E. Lincoln Avenue. There minimal lighting for late afternoon skating, a hockey goal, and bench located by the rink. The rink will be open until temperatures begin to warm up. Thank you to the Municipal Service crew for braving the cold to make this happen just in time for Christmas Break.
FOX RIVER BOARDWALK FEASIBILITY STUDY
The Village of Little Chute and City of Kaukauna are working together with GRAEF Engineering to perform a Cost Analysis and Feasibility Study on a Multi-Modal Boardwalk that would cross the Fox River by the Heritage Parkway Trail in Little Chute and the recently acquired abandoned railway on the Kaukauna side. This would be a wonderful spot to connect the two communities trail systems and create beautiful spot to observe nature, fish, walk, bike, or run. This would also create a safe way for families to walk or bike without having to cross the Highway 55 Bridge or Highway N bridge.

The Village of Little Chute and City of Kaukauna will be hosting our 4th and final Public Informational meeting on the feasibility study. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10 from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm at the Little Chute Village Hall.
MERGING FACEBOOK PAGES & TWITTER
Beginning on December 28th the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department will be merging its Facebook page with the Village of Little Chute Facebook page. The goal of this merger is to establish a single place for Village residents to go to receive Village updates, news, and events. If you currently "like" the Little Chute Park and Rec Facebook page your "like" will automatically be transferred over to the Village Facebook page.

We are also excited to announce that the Village will be starting a Twitter account to further inform the residents of Little Chute on important events, meetings, and information within the Village. The Twitter account will open on December 28th.

If you have any further questions about these additions and changes please contact the department at 423-3869.
