AIRUKER TO HIT THE ROAD
It's with much excitement that I announce our plans to set out on an unparalleled ukulele
adventure. Linda, Sheba
and I are heading out in a 27' Airstream trailer to bring the Play Ukulele By Ear experience to players across the length and breadth of the USA. We leave the central California coast on February 1, 2013 on our first leg which we have dubbed The StraightFlat Tour. Having never pulled a trailer of this size before, we will traverse the straight and flat byways of the southwestern USA as our initial undertaking.
It begins with the 3rd Annual Groundhog Ukulele Festival in Yucaipa, California, followed by a journey into Arizona, including the cities of Quartzsite, Phoenix and Tucson.
If you are interested in having us visit you, your ukulele club or local festival in the coming year drop me an email.

LIGHTNING JOE'S WORKSHOPS
I return to one of my favorite music shops in the country, Lightning Joe's Guitar Heaven in Arroyo Grande, California for two workshops on Saturday, January 19. I'll be presenting Play Ukulele By Ear and Hank (Williams) & Buck (Owens) By Ear. Not only is Lightning Joe's a great music store, Joe has one of the best musical instrument museums around with a ton of great old ukes. A must visit when on the central California coast. Visit my website for more details. |

FROM THE MAILBAG...
"Most folks just want to teach chords and strums or tablature (and of course...incessant strumming syndrome). I never understood how this gets you to really playing MUSIC. Now I know what it takes to get started on a path of enlightenment. Grasshopper thanks you."
