I don't know about you, but while listening and watching the video, tears came to my eyes. What have I done? What have we done? Please Lord...help our hearts!
Sisters...it is time to take a second look in the mirror. Who are we trying to please? Ourselves? Men? God? The picture above of the young woman is what many women wear. Cleavage showing? Yes. More cleavage when she bends over? Yes. A lot of skin showing? Yes. Is this popular clothing? Yes.
While it is true that it is a "man" problem for lusting...it is a "woman" problem to wear clothing that contributes to lustful thoughts. And yes men can wear things too that are inappropriate. BUT...we are addressing women right now.
We are created for the glory of God (Isaiah 43:7). What we do, say and wear is a reflection of our heart. Our hearts are to be committed to God and submissive to HIS word.
Next week...we will look at what makes us distinct from the rest of the world. Does the world see you as different or just like everybody else? And what is it that everybody else is doing?
HOT TOPIC?....absolutely. NEEDED TOPIC?....more than we could ever know. I've received multiple emails from men and women who are very troubled about women who profess Christianity, yet dress like the world. I will tell you though, I had less people open the last email than the week before. Some just don't want to hear it. Again...this is a heart problem. Glorify your God today.
