Jeff Rouse Swim and Sports Center Now Open with Eye Towards Sports Tourism
This new recreation center, located at the intersection of Courthouse Road and Mine Road, is one of only eight indoor olympic size competition pools in the state. The facility also includes a therapy pool, warm up pool, exercise rooms, basketball courts and a nursery. There is even a cafe that offers healthy food options such as smoothies.
Come join us every third Sunday, June - September as live bands perform from 5- 7pm on Pratt Park's Celebration Stage. Pack a picnic dinner and bring the entire family for an evening filled with music and fun! Admission is $10 per car. Concessions will be available. Rain or shine.

HISTORY AT SUNSET Hut Holes and Bastions: Stafford's Winter Encampment Stafford Civil War Park, June 10, 7pm
The National Park Service's popular program series returns this year with its first topic focusing on the Stafford Civil War Park and the Union Army of the Potomac's winter encampment in 1862-63. The park includes the encampment's only formally preserved physical remnants, including the hut holes, earthworks and road left behind by soldiers.
Visitors should wear sturdy shoes, bring water, flashlight, a lawn chair and bug repellent.
This beautiful 520-acre lake is Virginia's newest recreational lake and will welcome canoeists and kayakers (gas-powered boats are not permitted). Until the fish population has multiplied and matured, fishing is not yet allowed.
