Bad Bills-
CS/CS/HB7069 and SB1702

This legislation requires religious child care centers and private schools that participate in the Voluntary Prekindergarten Program and/or School Readiness Program to undergo unnecessary inspections by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) or the Local Licensing Agency (LLA).

The legislation requires Religious Child Care Centers and Private Schools pay a fee for inspection and a registration Certificate to the Department of Children and Families or the Local Licensing Agency.

Green Apple believes that the accrediting agency's health, safety, and sanitation standards should meet or exceed state regulations as evidenced by an onsite inspection. Further, we believe it is the role of the accrediting body that the religious child care program or school is approved by to INSPECT the religious childcare center/school and HOLD it ACCOUNTABLE.

If the legislature would stop promoting cronyism then it could embrace the concept of transparency
