Sometimes we all need a moment to catch our breath. Thanks to a new Jessica’s House program called “Comfort Corner,” hundreds of students throughout the region have a cozy spot in their classroom to quiet their emotions, manage their stress, and get back to their studies.

“We love it,” said Jenni Robinson at Elim Elementary School in Hilmar, one of seven area schools that have installed comfort corners in their classrooms. “Comfort corners give kids permission to take a timeout when they’re feeling anxious or frustrated. And because of that, they’re more able to learn.”
