Worship with us this Sunday!
Join us this Sunday for Jesus Has Left the Building 4!
We will meet in the sanctuary from 8:30 - 9:00am for communion and a short service.  After the commissioning, we will follow the example Jesus set for us by heading out into the world to spread God's love.
Help share the message that Jesus Has Left the Building and Parkway UCC is following that lead! Please tag Parkway UCC and/or use the hashtags #JHLTB #ParkwayUCC to share photos and thoughts about this important initiative of taking God's love into the community on social media. Remember to adhere to Parkway's Photo and Personal Privacy Policy: Photos should generally not be taken of children in church except as part of organized activities and programs, and any requests of children or their parents or guardians should be respected.
T-shirts have arrived, so be sure to bring money to pay for your order.

Mental Health Ministry Workshop August 6
Saturday, August 6 | 9:00-11:00am | Gathering Space
To tell the true story is to heal. That is the power of Christian testimony. Join Parkway for an inspiring and thought provoking conversation with guest preacher Rev. Dr. Sarah Griffith Lund, author of Blessed are the Crazy: Breaking the Silence about Mental Illness, Family and Church. Come and hear Sarah's own personal story of her family's struggle with mental illness, and how God showed up in the midst of it. Come and discuss the most common five lies that Christians tell about mental illness. Come and learn what we can do together to create a church that is welcoming, inclusive, supportive and engaged with mental health ministry. Sarah is the Vice President of Advancement for Christian Theological Seminary and the Vice Chair of the UCC Mental Health Network

National Youth Event
Some of our youth have been at the National Youth Event in Florida at Disney world this week. Read the following article from this week's  Missouri Mid-South Conference eCourier:

We know our youth rock in the Missouri Mid-South Conference, but now so does everyone else in the UCC!  Their presence at the National Youth Event in Florida at Disney World this past week was amazing.  The energy, the grace, the prayers, the friendship, the laughter - it was phenomenal because of them!  And let's not forget the youth leaders and adults who organized and also attended.  Without those folks, our youth would not have been able to enjoy this experience.

So when you see a youth or youth leader at your church this weekend, whether they attended NYE or not, give them a big smile and hug!  They are our future and we need to appreciate them on all levels.  The gifts they bring to our congregations and conference are vital, and we are here to say, "YOU ROCK AND WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!!"
