Jesus Knew Too Well! 4/12/17
Jesus Knew Too Well! 4/12/17

John 13:1 (KJV)
1  Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

" JESUS KNEW THAT HIS HOUR WAS COME!"

My RESURRECTION SUNDAY was secured and inspired by an EARLY morning message I received from a dear saint.

It was around 6 AM when I opened my computer and was pleasantly surprised to see her posting of a performance of my choir, orchestra, and drama team, circa 1986!!

1986-31 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!

I hope and PRAY you make the time and effort to watch this excellent production of "I AM" uploaded from a VHS tape-

Some may even wonder what a VHS TAPE IS!!

Do YOU remember the question of which format would ultimately win and survive-

BETA OR VHS!!??

One song in particular touched me deeply-

JESUS KNEW TOO WELL

" JESUS KNEW TOO WELL HIS TIME WAS NEAR THE END.

IN THE UPPER ROOM HE GATHERED WITH HIS FRIENDS.

LITTLE DID THEY KNOW ALL THAT LAY AHEAD

AS THEY SHARED THE WINE AND BROKE THE BREAD."

I believe you can access this video on my timeline-just scroll down a couple of posts:

I dare say that many of us would not even get out of bed if WE KNEW "ALL THAT LAY AHEAD!"

But Jesus DID know and Jesus DID go!!!

Oftentimes, in this life, there is nothing else we can do but plow straight ahead, INTO the fire!

WE wish there was another path and long for another way forward.

BUT..........................

''Most of us are where we are for a very good reason. This is our post which has no one to hold it but us.

If we abandon it, we discover that it is something in ourselves we abandon.

Just keeping on, through the most hopeless aspect of keeping on, may be the important act of one's career.

The last dejected effort often becomes the winning stroke!"

The Mighty Apostle Paul also "knew too well" what awaited him:

Acts 21:11-14 (KJV)

11  And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him
into the hands of the Gentiles.

12
And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.

13
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

14  And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

Today, no matter how much or how little YOU know about the future, the only choice is to:

Philippians 3:14 (KJV)

14
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Jesus and Jesus alone, "HAST THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE!"

John 6:68 (KJV)

68  Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

The older I get, the more treasures I have in Heaven., and the more true this becomes:

1 Corinthians 15:19 (KJV)

19
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

In the words of the late Jackie Gleason. "HOW SWEET IT IS!"

1 Corinthians 15:20 (KJV)

20  But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

GOD BLESS YOU!
