Well it has been 9 months since Jim's fall through the greenhouse roof in Feb 2014 in Montana. So that means we are heading back to Montana this Sunday October 26^th, 1000 miles, to see Dr. Bishop in preparations for surgery Tuesday October 28^thto remove the 2 rods and 10 screws from his back that stabilized the T11 & T12 spinal breaks. How exciting is this!! He may have to stay one night in the hospital. We will be staying with our son Matthew for the week recovery post-op. And visiting Andrew and family during this time as well. Jim says his 7 grandchildren are the best therapy to forget about his pain and be distracted with their loving hearts, words, and activities.

We ask for your prayers for God to be with Dr. Bishop during the surgery and Jim's recovery post. Your prayers helped Jim through the injury, surgery, and recovery over these 9 months-thank you so much. We are hopeful and anticipating Jim to have greater mobility once he heals from this surgery. They say 3 months for healing and stability. The rods did restrict Jim's movements for these 9 months he has had them in. They put a strain and extra wear on the spines above and below the rods. That is why their removal is in Jim's best interest and potential increased mobility. God has been so good, so Mighty in being Jim's primary Physician and Healer, so we know He will be with us through this one too.
