The Architectural Survey Administrator position falls within the Research and Survey unit, consistent with Maryland Department of Planning (MDP) and Maryland Historical Trust's mission of studying, evaluating, protecting and interpreting the states historic sites, structures, districts, and cultural traditions. This position oversees the survey of standing structures throughout the state and supervises documentation efforts for inclusion in the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties (MIHP). This includes intensive review of MIHP forms, photographs, measured drawings, research designs and final written reports to ensure they meet State and Federal standards.
