We are looking for a creative, proactive and talented communicator who is experienced in working with national and regional media to join the External Communications Team in Scotland.

You will have a proven track record of securing high-quality media coverage – across print, broadcast and online media – as well as strong communication and relationship management skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading PR activity for a range of Macmillan’s fundraising events, campaigns and services for people for people affected by cancer. This will involve working with colleagues across the organisation and external partners. 

The role is both office and homebased role so we are looking for someone who can get to the Edinburgh Office when needed. We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive and a talented communicator who is experienced in working with national and regional media.

You will be a proactive self-starter with excellent attention to detail and strong administration skills, eager to play a key part in our ambitious plans for the future, which include celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Sampad this year.

This is a part time opportunity, for 15 hours per week. An important role in this small team, you will be responsible for the administration of finances and governance for the company.

This role is best suited to someone with book keeping and administration experience, who is used to working in a busy office with a small team!
