Elephant Aid International (EAI) and Tiger Tops Elephant Camp are pleased to present a unique hands-on opportunity to experience how elephants live
-- chainfree -- at Nepal's foremost conservation resort.
You'll immerse yourself in the lives and daily activities of the elephants, learning through observation and hands-on experience how the Tiger Tops family of elephants live and are managed.
Each morning, you'll accompany the elephants on their daily grass collecting excursions.
In the afternoon, you'll hike in Chitwan National Park and observe the elephants as they select, collect and eat a variety of natural vegetation, and then enjoy their playful antics as they refresh themselves in the Narayani River.
You'll assist the mahouts with
kuchi
making
--
rice and grass rolled into a compact "sandwich"-- and grass collecting, in the presence of the resident elephants.
And you'll end your day as the sun sets on the tranquil Tiger Tops Elephant Camp, watching the elephants in their corrals, playing, grazing and socializing with their friends.
You'll also expand your knowledge of elephant health and welfare.
Each day, you'll be joined by Carol Buckley, who will share her knowledge about the care, feeding, humane training and rehabilitation of captive-held elephants. Carol will also teach you essential foot trimming and foot care techniques.
