Since his death almost four hundred years ago, Shakespeare's influence on generations of writers is undeniable. Most recently, there have been hints at the immensely popular Netflix series House of Cards' adaptation of several of the characters, themes and artistic styles taken from the playbooks of Shakepeare's Richard III, Macbeth and Othello.
