The Community Relations Committee
of the Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley invites you to attend:

"Hate Crimes 101"
Wednesday, January 11th at 7:00 PM
at the Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley

Featuring:
Miriam Zeidman, Midwest Legal Counsel for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).  This 90 minute interactive program will address the unique nature of hate crimes and discuss the elements of hate crime laws and the difference between hate crimes and bias incidents.

Given the rise in the number of hate crime incidents across the country, we are taking this initiative to educate the public and to support the passage of a Hate Crimes bill by the Indiana General Assembly.

A dessert reception will follow.
Please RSVP by calling 574-233-1164 or rsvp online by clicking here so that we can arrange proper seating. For more details contact Bob Feferman, Community Relations Director, at rfeferman@thejewishfed.org.
Help us plan Purim!

Come help us plan the most fun holiday on the Jewish calendar!! Let's take the best of last years and add some new spice to it.

We are looking for volunteers for our Purim Committee- a short term committee (January-March) that will work with Efrat, our Shlicha, on planning our famous Purim Carnival, scheduled for Sunday, March 5, 2017.

This is a community event and we are hoping that each congregation will have representatives on this committee. You can ask to join through your congregation or if you prefer, you can contact the Federation directly by contacting Efrat at 574-233-1164 x 107 or  israel@thejewishfed.org .
