The Michiana Jewish Historical Society invites you to a Jewish history fair for children and adults of all ages, where everyone can have fun learning about the history of their family and the Jewish history and culture that brought us all here to the South Bend-Southwest Michigan area.

Benefits of Pet Ownership
Presentation by Jami Vandenbossche of Pet Refuge
Wednesday, September 14 at 12:00 PM

Our first Lunch and Learn for the new program year will address the benefits pet ownership can bring into the lives of their owners. Pets can reduce depression and lessen loneliness, providing companionship for people living alone. Jami Vandenbossche of Pet Refuge will explain the  positive effects of owning a pet, and will bring two dogs from Pet Refuge for us to meet. 

There is no charge for our Lunch and Learn program, but donations are welcome. RSVPs are requested so we can plan the set up accordingly. Call 574-233-1164, or email [email protected] to make your reservation.

mentalists and mind power gurus.

Last Call for New Year's Greetings!

There is still time to renew your support for Our Community News and send a New Year greeting in the October newsletter. Your financial support helps us cover the cost of mailing the newsletter to all Jewish households in our community. You may also choose to send a gift subscription to a family member or friend who lives out of town.

Giving levels for a High Holiday greeting are $18, $36. $100, or $250. Greeting orders must be received by September 9 to make the High Holiday deadline. You can request a greeting by emailing Emily at [email protected] or by calling the
Jewish Federation at 574-233-1164.
