Two big and fun events are coming up that benefit the children and youth of West County.
First, there is the "10 Years & RYSING Club Night" at the RYSE Youth Center on October 26 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
There will be refreshments, delicious foods, special guest speakers, and games and art.
This is a 21+ years old event, and it will raise funds for this renowned youth center that I was proud to help found more than a decade ago.

Next, there's the Boys & Girls Clubs of Contra Costa County's "Great Futures Breakfast."
This event is set for November 1, from 7:30 am to 9:30 am at the Crockett Community Center.
Among the headline speakers are Dick Callahan, stadium announcer for the Oakland A's, and Dave Stewart, the former All-Star and World Series Champion for the A's.
We'll have a delicious breakfast catered by La Strada, and we'll raise funds for the youth of the Boys & Girls Club.
