National Screening Bureau has partnered with KS SHRM at the State Conference for over 10 years in a variety of ways. My advice to companies considering partnering at the KS SHRM State Conference is to jump in, fully participate and have fun!
Be sure to submit questions for the Conference app game. It draws attendees to your booth. Go all-in with the Conference theme: HR Enlisted. Last year's theme was "Play Ball with HR." Our team wore striped referee shirts and whistles. Our booth contained a putting green and basketball goal. Just to mix it up a bit, we asked attendees to try golfing and shooting baskets wearing "drunk goggles." (At this point, I should mention we perform "drug testing" as part of our services, so the goggles were educational).
We have also provided speakers at State Conferences. Speaking at the State Conference is an excellent way to get your organization, and the services or products you provide, in the forefront. Just this year, we were contacted by a SHRM attendee that had heard one of our speakers at the State Conference three years ago. They remembered us when they wanted to start utilizing one of the services we offer.
If you partner with KS SHRM, you will not be disappointed! Not only is it an opportunity to gain new clients, it is also an opportunity to touch base with existing customers. After our years of partnership with KS SHRM, I would compare going to the State Conference with going to a family reunion. We get to see familiar faces and catch up, meet new friends, and have fun.
