Rector Search Committee Update
Join us to share the Survey results, Sunday, November 5th,9:30 AM, Parish Hall.
The Church Assessment Survey is complete. Everyone in the congregation, especially Rick Johns who led this effort, deserves a big pat on the back. Our participation rate in the survey was well above the participation rate for the average church. Which means that we are all taking this seriously.
Both the Search Committee and the Vestry met with Diocesan staff on Tuesday 10/24 to go over the survey results. We learned that we are a high energy and adaptable congregation.
We also learned that the top three things we are looking for in a new Rector are: Preaching, Strategic Leadership, and Pastoral Care. We also learned a great deal that we want to share with everyone.
The members of the Search Committee will go over the results in detail at a meeting at 9:30 AM in Parish Hall on Sunday, November 5 before the service. There are many interesting and positive results that we have to share so please plan to attend.
The next task in the search will be the small group discussions each of which will include no more than six parishioners led by two members of the Search Committee. The Search Committee members will be receiving training for this role shortly. Further announcements will be made as to timing and sign up as soon as that is decided.
Now we need to maintain the momentum that we have established. We have made a wonderful start. Now we need to keep up the excellent work.
