The Georgia Symphony Orchestra opens the 2016-2017 season with new Music Director Timothy Verville in a celebration of festive music and an art exhibition! The music will move us as we Process, Promenade, and Dance our way through a delightful sound and sight program of energetic music and art! Come early to see exciting, thought-provoking visual artists. Then enjoy a musical exhibition on stage featuring a variety of GSO talent. The evening concludes with Mussorgsky's epic Pictures at an Exhibition accompanied by images of art that inspired the music.

Rimsky-Korsakov: Procession of the Nobles
Coleridge-Taylor Africa Suite: Danse Nègre
de Falla: Danza ritual del fuego
Bernstein: Three Dance Episodes from On the Town
Mussorgsky/Ravel: Pictures at an Exhibition

The GSO announces winning artists for upcoming art exhibition!

Ten artists were chosen by an outside jury of regional arts leaders from all submissions received in an open call for artists.  The following winning artists will display their work at the combined music performance and art exhibition, "A Musical Promenade" October 22.
