The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is also planning to restructure and strengthen their community service system for adults, currently known as Community Based Flexible Supports (CBFS). DMH will transition to a new service system, Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS), effective July 1, 2018.
NAMI Massachusetts wants our members to understand these upcoming changes, and have the opportunity to comment on the specific details of them.
We will be providing three introductory presentation webinars
*. The purpose of the webinars is to provide our members with preparation material to better understand these changes. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.
We will also be hosting informational forums around the state.
We have arranged for representatives from DMH, MassHealth, and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) to provide an overview presentation of the MassHealth changes and the transition from CBFS to ACCS. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the presentation. NAMI Mass working with our local Affiliates is arranging presentations throughout the State during February and March. We recommend you first participate in a webinar and before attending the live community presentations.
* Our webinars consist of audio and video. You will need access to a computer with internet access and a telephone to participate, and pre-registration is required.
