Too often, conservation and development practitioners work on parallel initiatives, neglecting opportunities to work together to move forward in global development. Join us as experts discuss improving the interconnections between health and the environment and share their own work and experiences.
Presenters will include
Janet Edmond, Director of Population Environment at Conservation International, will discuss linking conservation to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) to natural resource management (NRM).
Anila Jacob, AAAS Fellow with USAID Forestry and Biodiversity Office, will discuss how the global health community needs to think about NRM and it's impacts, including links between DRR and food security to healthy ecosystems.
Look out for resources and continue the discussion afterward on FRAMEweb!
