Join us for our annual Growing the Trust fundraising event on Thursday, November 9, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Day Block Event Center in Minneapolis.

Last year, our 40th anniversary event at the Mill City Museum was such a great success that we've decided to continue hosting Growing the Trust as an evening event. A short program will feature a youth speaker and recognition of our Partner Award winners. Guests will also hear about current and new initiatives. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served.

Everyone is welcome to join us! Tickets are available until Friday, November 3, while quantities last. For more details and to purchase tickets, please visit our event page

 YouthBuild Starting a New Year
This week at Tree Trust, our YouthBuild program has begun the second stage of the recruitment process for the 2017-18 YouthBuild year. Applicants are in our office for a week of the "Mental Toughness" training program. Activities encourage team building and self-reflection while gauging if applicants have the motivation needed to complete a successful year in YouthBuild.

While it is a rigorous week for prospective YouthBuilders, it is also a lot of fun! Yesterday, participants competed to build the tallest and strongest Beanie Baby throne!

Final Five Tree Plantings!
Last weekend was the biggest planting weekend of the fall for our Community Forestry staff! In three days, we planted 325 trees in 4 towns with the help of 180 community volunteers! Karen, our Director of Community Forestry, drove over 800 miles between North Minneapolis, St. Paul, Winona, and Ada!

If you want to get in on some tree-planting action before the season ends, there are just five more events in October to volunteer for!

10/14 - Lakeville
10/14 - Ely
10/21 - St. Paul
10/21 - Shakopee
10/28 - St. Louis Park

If you'd like to sign up a group, or have other questions, please email our Volunteer Coordinator,  Jessica

P.S. If you've volunteered with Tree Trust this year, keep an eye on our Instagram page in October! We'll be posting images of the 300+ volunteers who have helped us plant and distribute trees so far in 2017
We're Hiring Young People!
Thanks to additional funding from the State of MN, Tree Trust is now able to offer JobPrep work experiences on Saturdays as well as the weekday.

Young people ages 14-24 who are interested in our programs can fill out our interest form online. If you work with youth and young adults and are interested in learning more about our programs, please contact our Outreach Coordinator, Ashley
When you donate to Tree Trust, you positively impact environmental health and the lives of thousands of people in your own community. It is through the essential support of our donors and volunteers that Tree Trust has been able to transform lives and landscapes for more than 40 years.
