Movie Club

For our first meeting of the Movie Club we will be showing Capote with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor.  We will present the movie at 4:00 PM, followed by a discussion at 6:00 PM led by
Cathy Blum on the topic of Addiction-Can We Save the Addict?   A huge Thank You to Lynda & Chuck Simon for underwriting our program so we will be able to enjoy pizza with our discussion.
We will show Capote a second time following the discussion, at 7:00 PM

Pre-Pesach & April Birthday Lunch

Join as we not only serve up the last of the Chametz before Pesach, but also celebrate the April Birthdays of those in our community who are over 60.  Helen Pollak will provide a variety of seasonal musical entertainment on the piano.

Chocolate Seder

Youth of the community are invited to join Reut and SaBaBaH and they hold a Seder no one can resist. Our Chocolate Seder is open to kids of all ages but we do ask that children under 5 are accompanied by an adult.

Pesach Office Closures
In order to allow staff and volunteers the chance to celebrate Passover with friends and family the Jewish Federation will be closed the following days. 
Monday, April 14, 2014 ~ Office will close at 3:00 PM
(Needle Arts will meet from 1:00 - 3:00 PM)
Tuesday, April 15 & Wednesday, April 16
Monday, April 21 & Tuesday April 22.

The Jewish Federation will reopen at 9:00 AM the day following the holiday.

Days of Remembrance
April 27 & 28, 2014

Join us at the Jewish Federation on Sunday April 27, 2014 at 5:30 PM for our Candle Lighting and Memorial Service with a presentation by Larry Moses, son of Holocaust Survivor Sherry Moses.
 
Our commemoration will continue on Monday, April 28 from 10:00 AM to Noon and 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for our Annual Unto Every Person There is a Name Ceremony.  At Noon our presenter, Larry Moses will share with us The Legacy and Lessons of the Holocaust-A Personal Reflection.
