Volunteer Update
June 2017
Join us in the garden this Saturday

River Center

Join us for Gardening Angels this Saturday morning and help make the River Center look great. This is a fun opportunity to spend time with experienced gardeners while enjoying a peaceful morning in the outdoors. And you will be helping get the River Center ready for upcoming community programs.

We'll begin work at 8:15 am, and plan to work until 12:00 pm. Bring your favorite pair of gloves and loppers or hedge shears.

Become a Parties Historian

Help tell the story of 25 years of Parties for the Parkway. Hikes, canoe tours, intimate dinners and more have filled the pages of 25 Parties for the Parkway books. Thousands of hosts, artists, and volunteers contributed their time and talent to support the Trust's work to create and protect the San Joaquin River Parkway.

As a Parties Historian, you will help gather the details of each year of Parties for the Parkway in a digital format. You'll enjoy stepping back in time and revisiting the many parties that have been offered over the years. Your effort will help us better tell the story of one of our most important fundraising programs.

This volunteer opportunity is flexible to meet your availability. You can even work from home.

If you'd like to help, please contact Finn Telles at ftelles@riverparkway.org or 559-248-8480 ext. 216.
June River Stewards Workday
Saturday, June 17 - 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped install thousands of native plants at Spano River Ranch this winter!

Now you have the chance to help make sure these plants grow up strong. Our June River Stewards Workday will include spreading mulch, installing plant cages, and light weeding. This work will help protect the young plants from heat, animals, and invading weeds. You can feel great knowing you are doing something good for the San Joaquin River.

River Stewards Workdays are great for individuals and groups. There is no long-term commitment and all tools are provided.
