Please join us at Blueprint for Success: Planning for College, Work, and Beyond. The target audience is high school students and parents.
The North Jersey Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, United Way of Essex and West Hudson, and Rutgers University have partnered together to develop a one day conference to raise awareness and spark dialogue about key issues in the greater Essex County area, including:
- High school dropout prevention
- College admissions process and enrollment
- Post-secondary education career and training opportunities
We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed speaker and author Kevin Powell, as our keynote, as well as College in Four Years author, Dr. Granville Sawyer, and Natasha Scott, creator of The College Admissions Bible, who will present on a variety of topics including:
- The Journey After High School - Finding the Right Path for You
- The A,B,C's of College Admissions
- Navigating the Financial Aid Process
- Being a Proactive Stakeholder in Your Child's Educational Success
We will also have other local leaders in education and business such as NJ LEEP Executive Director, Matthew Feinstein, and Valentine Global CEO, Chike Uzoka, offering practical advice and guidance to help students successfully transition from high school to their next milestone.
This conference will offer:
- Customized tracks for parents and students
- Interactive lectures and panel discussions
- College & Career Resource Fair with over 15 participating schools, recruiters, and more!
