The Palo Alto Photography Forum presents Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb

The Poetry of Place: From Cuba to Mexico and Beyond.  Friday January 6, 2017 at the Mitchell Park Community Center in Palo Alto - 7:30pm
The creative couple will present photographs from different projects exploring notions of the poetry of place.  Alex will show some of his extensive work from Latin America, in particular from his new book, La Calle, 30 years of photographing Mexico, as well as a selection from the creative couple's joint book about Cuba, Violet Isle. Rebecca, originally a poet, who often interweaves text and images will show selections from her third book, My Dakota, an elegy for her brother who died unexpectedly, as well as new work from a new project: Night Calls.
After the presentation moderator Wendy Lesser, art critic and author, will lead an interview with Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb followed by a Q&A session with the audience.   Book sale & signing - Light refreshments included.   For tickets and more info, please visit the Eventbrite Page.

Geir Jordahl and Kate Jordahl have been photographing and working with the photographic image for the past forty years. This special celebration will feature their images and projects which have been shaped by decades of exploring, studying, traveling and teaching. The exhibition will explore two shared lives in photography in images and stories. Join us on January 28, 2017 for this special PhotoCentral event.

Annual PhotoCentral Spring Exhibition 2017
Be a part of PhotoCentral's annual spring exhibition. Begin with a hands-on seminar on how to exhibit your work in the best light. Discuss all aspects of the decision making process including editing, print selection, matting, mounting, framing, and signing/editioning your work. This exhibition is open to all types of photography. Awards will be given to the best work both by expert jurors and people's choice! Exhibit, learn, and share in this wonderful community event!
