JOURNEY TO THE CROSS 2015
ARTISTS COME TOGETHER:
EASTER WEEKEND @ PEACE

Jesus walked a lonely path from Gethsemane to Golgotha.

He was surrounded by crowds, by apostles, by Roman guards.

But Jesus was alone.

Across the globe, in many churches, his path is represented by renderings of "the Stations of the Cross."  These stations invite seekers and believers (and curious skeptics, too) to accompany Jesus on the path of suffering and compassion.  Along the way, we contemplate the many meanings of Easter in our lives.

At Peace United Church of Christ, once again a group of extraordinary artists is collaborating to bring their vision of the Stations of the Cross to life.  Through a stunning variety of media and artistic forms, these artists invite Santa Cruzans of all kinds to enjoy their work and reflect on the many dimensions of Jesus' life and suffering.

Please come, walk the path with us.

This community art expression will be in the Sanctuary at Peace United from Maundy Thursday (April 2) through Easter Sunday (April 5). Besides during Holy Week services, the Sanctuary will also be open from 12 pm - 6 pm Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4.
