Announcements

Getting in to TCC
With the staff now relocated into the main building, we have begun to implement new security measures. The church doors are now locked during weekday office hours.  To gain access into the building, please ring the door bell located on the wall by the double doors on the north side of the building. Someone will answer through the intercom, and after previewing through a camera installed there, will electronically open the doors to let you in.
If you have a key to the church, it will still work to unlock the doors.  However, in the next few weeks, that will change and we will convert to a keyless entry system.  People needing regular access to the building will be assigned a  "fob" and given instructions on the system.  Regularly scheduled meetings will be programmed into the system, allowing participants to enter the building during preset times.  Much more information will be coming soon!

Everything Left in the Church Coat Closets and Kitchen will be Donated August 8.
Our coat closets, Lost and Found box, and kitchen rack (by the refrigerator) are overflowing once again!   We are currently doing our summer cleaning.  Please help us stay organized by taking a few minutes to go through what's there, and claim your belongings.  All unclaimed items left in the church closets and kitchen will be donated on Monday, August 8.  Thank you!

Missing Table Clothes...
Did you happen to use a TCC table cloth, take it home to launder and forget to bring it back?    If so, please return it/them as soon as possible.  Also, can you help us keep that closet organized?  Nancy Germain and Lorraine Bauder created an inventory and color coded system.  Nancy has clearly labeled everything. All white tablecloths are on the left side and most colored and printed table cloths are on the right and the different styles are placed on different colored hangers.  See signage in the closet. Thank you!

Car Needed for TCC Member
Do you have a reliable, safe used car that you'd be willing to donate to a TCC member in need?  If so, please contact Debbie Wilson at [email protected].

If You Are Away This Summer and Would Like an Electronic Copy of the Bulletin....
Please contact the office.  For privacy reasons, we do not publish the weekly prayer concerns in TCC's email newsletter, as the email newsletter is posted on our website. If you want to keep up to date with happenings and fellow congregants, we can email the bulletin to you!

Children's Ministry Volunteers Needed!
It might be summer vacation time but our children's ministry is running full steam ahead. We had 48 children in Live the Adventure last weekend, and volunteers are still very much needed to make sure our children are cared for and loved each Sunday. We give our regular volunteers a break for the summer, and rely on new volunteers throughout the summer to sustain the ministry.
If you are around this summer, consider signing up to serve for one of the remaining Sundays this summer. Training is provided, and you will be paired with another volunteer so you won't be alone! Check out the display in the lobby of the church, or email [email protected] to sign up!

Children's Ministry Schedule through August 28
Children entering 1st through 4th grade begin in the sanctuary with their families and will be dismissed to LTA.  Pick-up children in Room 204 at the end of service.   Infant through entering kindergarten will be in the pre-k wing the entire hour.  Room numbers will be posted. Please register your children at the check-in desk as usual.

Volunteer Opportunities

TCC runs on volunteers! Please visit the TCC "How to Serve" webpage at http://www.tccwayland.org/serve.php for more information.   Here are a few current opportunities:

Additional Ushers Still Needed...
Our mission:   To welcome every visitor and member to the house of God!

What is needed : Ushers are absolutely critical in helping newcomers form their first impression of TCC. You help set the tone for the worship experience to come. You are representatives of God's kingdom.  You're not just opening doors, providing information, handing out bulletins or collecting the offering, you are making people feel welcome!

Could you help ONE  Sunday morning a month?  Please contact Debbie Wilson at [email protected] or 508-358-7717.

Volunteer Offering Counters Needed ...
Are you accurate and reliable?  Volunteers count the weekly offering (mostly checks for deposit) each Sunday, and we are in need of new helpers.  Offering counters work in pairs.  Contact Aimee Mury at [email protected] or 508- 358-7717, x303 if this might be a way you could help us.  Training provided!

Coffee Hour needs YOU!
If you enjoy having a cup of coffee while chatting with others between Sunday services, please sign-up (alone or with your Small Group) to host a coffee hour!   You don't even have to provide snacks - just make, set up and then clean up the coffee and tea ! ( Easy instructions provided - click here to see what is involved!)
Participation gives you and your group an opportunity to serve the Lord and is greatly appreciated by your fellow members.
Please sign up at the Connection Hub this Sunday or contact Robin Spinale, our new Coffee Hour Coordinator at [email protected]!

Missions Committee
Do you have a heart for missions? Would you consider serving on the Missions Committee?  The committee meets monthly to distribute church funds to missionaries and mission organizations that are involved with college, regional and foreign ministries. We address short term missions and one-time requests as well. The committee members correspond with these missionaries in the field to follow their progress, make sure their needs are met and their prayer requests addressed.  It is the committee's responsibility to keep the congregation updated on missionaries we support; to report on progress, activities, needs, and prayer requests.
If you would like to volunteer or find out more information, please contact Carolyn Lippmann, Committee Chairperson, or David Jenkins, committee member, at [email protected] or 508-358-5406 and [email protected] or 508-380-4015.

Thanks for reading and hope to see you this weekend.
Sincerely,

Debora Wilson
