A Thank-You From the Petter Family

Dear TCC Family.

When we came to TCC almost three years ago, the church was surviving. Today as we leave, the church is clearly thriving under Pastor Chris' leadership!   Indeed, we have seen the good hand of the Lord on this congregation. We are thankful that God stirred our hearts and called us to be a part of the rebuilding and restoration process.

We are even more appreciative for the relationships that were forged over these years. Thank you for opening up your hearts and homes to us. You have refreshed and encouraged us individually, and as a family, as we exercised our gifts among you.

With great appreciation and love to our TCC family!

Tom, Donna, and Marcus Petter

Children's Ministry (CM) - Summer Check-in Procedures.  PLEASE READ!

Because of the TCC summer schedule (one service at 9:30A), the following changes will take place within Children's Ministry:

* All children must be checked in at the CM desk BEFORE the service in order to get name and claim tags.

* Infant - Preschool Children will begin and remain in their current rooms for the entire hour.

* Children entering Grade 1 through entering Grade 5 will start in church with their parents and then be dismissed to the parlor to proceed to their Live the Adventure classrooms.  Parents should pick up children in Room 204, with their child's name tag, immediately following the service.

Announcements

Memorial Service for Bill and Diana Ryan

Bill and Diana Ryan 's memorial service will be held at TCC next Wednesday, July 8 at 11A.  There will be a reception immediately following the service; all are welcome to attend.

Prayer Support for Dr. Paul Church

Dr. Paul Church asks for prayer support as he responds to discipline and potential expulsion from the medical staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for expressing his faith-based beliefs in conflict with the official positions of the hospital.  If you'd like more information on how to further support Paul, please contact him directly at [email protected].

Summer Worship: Welcome Kids and Students!

We're blessed to have a church that makes disciples in all ages and stages of life. During the summer, we get to worship all together for the first portion of the service and sing music that reflects the diversity of our congregation. Please join us in welcoming kids and students into the worship service, knowing that singing their songs reminds us that we are one family and are all children of God!

If You Will be Away This Summer and Would Like to Receive an Electronic Copy of the Bulletin....

Please contact the office. For privacy reasons we do not publish the weekly prayer concerns in TCC's email newsletter (the email newsletter is posted on our website) so if you want to keep up to date with fellow congregants, we would be happy to email the bulletin to you!

Volunteer Opportunities

TCC runs on volunteers! Please visit the TCC "How to Serve" webpage at http://www.tccwayland.org/serve.php for more information.   Here are a few current opportunities:

Summer Worship: Get Involved & Get Connected!

Summer is a great time to try out serving on a new ministry team. Consider how you can use your gifts to bless the congregation on Sunday morning. This summer we are training new sound/screen techs, scripture readers, musicians/singers. A great way to connect with others in the community! Email [email protected] for more info.

Additional Ushers Still Needed...

Our mission:  To welcome every visitor and member to the house of God!

What is needed: Ushers are absolutely critical in helping newcomers form their first impression of TCC. You help set the tone for the worship experience to come. You are representatives of God's kingdom.  You're not just opening doors, providing information, handing out bulletins or collecting the offering, you are making people feel welcome!

Could you help 1 Sunday morning a month?  Please contact Debbie Wilson at [email protected] or 508-358-7717.

Volunteer Offering Counters Needed ...

Are you accurate and reliable?  Volunteers count the weekly offering (mostly checks for deposit) each Sunday, and we are in need of new helpers.  Offering counters work in pairs.  Contact Aimee Mury at [email protected] or 508- 358-7717, x303 if this might be a way you could help us.  Training provided!

Panera Pick Up

Each Sunday morning, we receive donations of day-old goodies from Panera's in Wayland to supplement our Coffee Hour. Would you like to join the rotating pick-up team?  If so, please contact Melvyn Wing at 978-821-8947 or [email protected].

Coffee Hour needs YOU!

If you enjoy having a cup of coffee while chatting with others after Sunday service, please sign-up (alone or with your Small Group) to host a coffee hour! Participation gives you and your group an opportunity to serve the Lord and is greatly appreciated by your fellow members. If no one signs up, there are no refreshments or fresh cream!  Please sign up at the Connection Hub this Sunday or contact the church office.

The TCC Food Pantry (Loaves & Fishes) offers assistance to those of TCC and the surrounding community who need help providing for themselves and their family. If you are in need, please feel free to visit the church office for assistance from the food pantry. The food pantry is open on Sunday mornings or during regular church office hours.

We gratefully accept donations to the TCC "Loaves & Fishes" Food Pantry. Please find the collection bin on a table near the lobby stairwell. We only accept donations of non-perishable food and personal items.

WE RESPECTFULLY ASK YOU NOT TO DONATE ANY OPEN OR EXPIRED ITEMS - WE JUST HAVE TO THROW THEM AWAY!

TOP ITEMS NEEDED:

Windex

Hair Conditioners

Ketchup / Mayo

Cake Mixes and Frostings

If you have any questions regarding donations, contact Diane or David Newcomb at [email protected] or [email protected]
