ACF in the Community

Arlington Economic Development (AED) received a $75,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to support the master planning, design and public art for the redevelopment of the Nauck Town Square. The Arlington Community Foundation (ACF) is honored to be a Consortium Partner for this important project and will assist the project by providing leadership in areas of community engagement and leveraging support for long-term place making goals that include livability and economic development.  This is keeping with the Foundation's history and mission of convening groups in Arlington, including Nauck/Green Valley, to forward creative and visionary initiatives that are positively impacting our community and beyond.

NextGenNow
NGN
NextGenNow is an initiative of the Arlington Community Foundation. A group of individuals in their 20s, 30s and 40s coming together with a common goal of securing the future of our community by making it a better place today. As emerging philanthropists, NextGenNow combines together contributions toward an annual cause to make a far greater impact than individuals might be able to make on their own.

Causes change according to consensus to reflect issues currently facing the community and what members care about most. Not only do contributions make a difference now, but because it is invested in a permanent fund, it will continue to grow and benefit future generations.

Scholarship Program
If you know any high school graduates who are enjoying the last summer before heading off to college, chances are you also know several who are worrying about how much they will have to work to pay their tuition, and how long they will be burdened with student debt. Maybe you even know a bright young student who has had to defer from going to college for financial reasons. That's why the Arlington Community Foundation is proud to have awarded 135 college scholarships totaling $320,000 to Arlington students this year.
