"Webster Bank is committed to living up to the communities we serve," said Ann Meade, Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at Webster Bank. We do this in part by supporting the Arc of Greater Plymouth, an organization that provides critical support for our developmentally challenged neighbors and their families. The people of Arc are true heroes in our community and we are honored to partner with them."
Ann Meade,
SVP Webster Bank

"Like the Arc of Greater Plymouth, Rockland Federal Credit Union is committed to making an impact in our local communities. Most recently we participated in the Trik or Trot 5K. It was inspiring to see the hard work of the Arc employees and volunteers coming together to present such a family-friendly, community-focused event. This is just one example of why we are proud to support such a dynamic organization."

Athena's Job
Athena Perry on the job!
Athena and Exec Bakery Chef Kasey B.
The Bakery is a lot more sunny on Fridays" says Executive Bakery Chef Kasey Bishoff. That is the day that Athena Perry comes to work her 12noon to 3PM shift. A graduate of Pembroke High School Transition Program, led by 2016 Inspired Teacher Grant recipient Maria Husted, Athena has been with Archways Employment service for three years. During that time she attended Culinary Classes at Cape Cod Community College where she also worked part time at their Seashore Café gaining valuable retail skills.

"The Bakery keeps me very busy," says Athena, "with lots of different jobs. I really like cleaning and making sure things are sanitized." Then with her signature gorgeous grin she adds, "I'm the best greeter!"  Many customers will verify that as fact.  "We have a group of Athena Fans that only shop on Fridays" says Kasey.

During the rest of the week Athena attends classes at Archways with her favorite being learning about different countries. "I like Math Mondays because I want to learn more math," she says with a grin, " but it is not my favorite." When asked what she would like us to quote for this article, she lit up with her sunniest smile and said "The Bakery is Awesome!"

Buddy Ball /Adult Softball 2016 a Great Season!
The Arc of Greater Plymouth's Buddy Ball and Adult Softball program has been going strong for over 10 years. In partnership with Duxbury Youth Baseball, the 2016 season was a great success as the photos below beautifully illustrate. The group of enthusiastic, loyal volunteers from Duxbury, Sacred Heart, Plymouth South and Silver Lake High Schools ,plus many family members make all the difference. The Arc extends a hearty thank you for all their time and effort.
