 NEW EXHBITION
Exhibit showcasing the work of Sigrid Hinkle

Sigrid is a local sewist who utilizes vintage patterns to create some dazzling designs reminiscent of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. This exhibit will be open until Nov. 1st. Please join us for our Open House August 12 highlighting this exhibit and the unique garments. 

Scavenger Hunt! 

Next time you visit the museum be sure and grab a fun little scavenger hunt! Return the scavenger hunt and be entered into our monthly drawing! 



Philcade History!

Our exhibit on the history of the Philcade has been updated with new information and new photographs that are from the Philbrook archives. These photographs show the historic Phillips Penthouse as well as the lobby when the building was completed.

Deco Ball 2016

Where: Mayo Hotel
When: September 10, 2016 at 6pm

Come celebrate Tulsa's unique Art Deco history at the 6th Annual Deco Ball at the opulent Mayo Hotel, benefiting the Tulsa Art Deco Museum. Enjoy dinner with two drink tickets while being swept away by big band jazz and fabulous entertainment followed by a silent auction. White tie, black tie, or cocktail attire is requested, and any clothing inspired from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s is admired but not required. Grab an early-bird ticket discount before July 31st. Make it a night with special Mayo Hotel room pricing available starting at $149! Doors open at 6pm, dinner at 7pm, & dancing til 10:00pm. Museum Open House

Please join us for our Museum Open House highlighting the work of local sewist Sigrid Hinkle. She utilizes vintage patterns to create some dazzling garments reminiscent  of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. This Open House will be perfect for people wondering what to wear to the Deco Ball! Tea and hor d'oeuvres will be served. As always, 1920s-40s attire is admired but not required. Please let us know you are coming by using the "tickets" link. This is a free event.

The Tulsa Art Deco Museum always provides free admission to you and our guests. We are the only museum that focuses on the decorative arts and design from the 20th century in Tulsa. Our museum is able to operate off of a small budget, and by joining, you are helping our small organization a tremendous amount. So please take a moment and become a valuable member of the Tulsa Art Deco Museum.

RECENT HAPPENINGS
The Gatsby Picnic was the bee's knees!

People enjoyed a fun evening in the H. A. Chapman Centennial Green while cooling off to the tasty snow cones by Sam Frances Co. Shaved Ice. Later, people enjoyed the classic Art Deco film, Metropolis, with a live musical score! 


Our Museum Coordinator does an interview!

Our Museum Coordinator, Luke Hembree, completed an interview with Green Country People & Places with RSU tv. See him on the show this fall! 


TULSA ART DECO
Will Rogers High School

This iconic building to Tulsa was completed in 1939 and was designed by Joseph R. Koeberling and Leon Senter. This building used WPA workers to construct the building. This significant Art Deco building was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. Notable alumni include musician Leon Russel and author of The Outsiders, Susan E. Hinton.
