"The Catalyst"
July 2016
Lots of our folks are on mission trips this summer....please uplift them in prayer!

Executive Director's Corner
I thought that I would share with you some interesting news that may be an encouragement to you. Though it seems that Satan is having his way in the U.S. and Europe, he is losing ground every day in the world.
In his book, What's So Great About Christianity, Denesh D'Sousa writes: "In 1990 more than 80% of Christians lived in Europe and America. Today 60% live in the developing world...Perhaps the non-Western Christians will convert the Western unbelievers, and perhaps they won't. Either way, they are the future, they know it and now we know it too. Christianity may come in different garb than it has in the past several centuries, but Christianity is winning, and secularism is losing. The future is always unpredictable, but one trend seems clear. God is the future, and Atheism is on its way out."
Our staff has been out visiting Vacation Bible Schools in many parts of our Association, and we are excited about what is happening in them! God is truly at work, and it is very fulfilling to see the way that our workers are working to make this year's schools the best ever. Thank you, and God bless you all.

June Encouragement Bags
Rankin Baptists hit the 10,000 mark
T his month we had two churches combine efforts for the Encouragement Bag project; Clear Branch and FBC Pearl.
Both groups had children along to help with the delivery.  It is so important for these children to put a connection to their artistic talents and to hear from the nurses and staff what a great source of comfort these bags supply to the hurting.  Thank you to all.

Rankin County Baptists started this project in July 2013.  Since that time, we have delivered 10,000 bags of encouragement.....so proud of our churches, their staffs, their members and the kids that have all participated.  Also, thank you to MBCB for assisting with some of the funding to purchase Bibles, as well as Mississippi Benevolence and Rock Bluff Baptist Church.

Welcome Susie Herring

Susie is taking the responsibility of Executive Assistant at RCBA.  We welcome her from Scott County Baptist Association, where Susie has served for 14 years.  She will be an added asset to the association.
