July 2018 Prayers
They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42
Week 1: July 1-8
Pray for the 2018-2019 CCIH Board of Directors . Prayers of thanks for members inspired to serve who ran for office. Pray for the work of the board as they guide CCIH in the coming year.

Pray for people killed, injured and displaced by the volcano that erupted in Guatemala in early June. Prayers of thanks for organizations responding to the crisis. Pray for CMMB's relief efforts to deliver medicines and supplies.
Week 2: July 9-16
Pray for safe travels for all attending the CCIH conference July 13-15 . Pray for inspiring fellowship and meaningful connections among Christians working in global health at the conference.

Pray for CCIH members bringing the message of the importance of global health programs to Capitol Hill in meetings and in a briefing for Hill staff planned for the week following the conference.
Week 3: July 17-23
Prayers of thanks for Steven Mukawa , the first Fellow in the Augustine Fellowship program as he returns home from the CCIH Conference in the U.S. Praise for the new skills he learned at the SIM ELWA hospital in Liberia that will strengthen his work at St. Luke's College of Nursing in Malawi.

Pray for the Bridge Initiative in Ghana , a new effort by a CCIH member who is a licensed psychologist planning to provide counselling at a Christian Family Therapy Center. 
Week 4: July 24-31
Pray for the work of faith leaders in Kenya coming together with the Christian Health Association of Kenya and developing a statement of support for Healthy Timing and Spacing of Pregnancies to protect mothers and children.

According to a report by World Vision , more than 2.5 million girls have been forced to flee their homes in eastern Africa and need protection. Pray for their safety and security.
