WANTED 2017 MISS INDIAN WORLD CONTESTANTS
The 2017 Miss Indian World Competition will be held during the week of April 25-29, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.Much more than a competition, this 5-day experience for participating MIW contestants share an exciting journey of "sisterhood" as they represent their tribes & communities, form lifelong friendships & memories, participate in a full stage production of the Miss Indian World Traditional Talent Presentations which culminating in the crowning of the new Miss Indian World 2017-2018 in front of sold out audience on Saturday night, April 29th, 2017. 
The Newly crowned 2017-2018 Miss Indian World will spend her year traveling* extensively throughout the USA, Canada and Internationally*. As a prestigious cultural ambassador for Native people throughout the World, the new Miss Indian World will then spend her year traveling, when the opportunities arise, and promoting cultural awareness, diversity & the Gathering of Nations Pow wow globally.
 
GATHERING OF NATIONS TRAVELING SHOW IN SWITZERLAND FOR UNITED NATIONS
 

This past July, the Gathering of Nations sent a group of dancers to participate at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. The Dancers were comprised of the Gathering of Nations Traveling Show and Native Footprints. The group came from various locations and tribes in the USA and Canada. They were apart of an International Cultural celebration for the Ambassadors to the United Nations.
