2016 AIA Indiana Design Awards - Call for Entries

All AIA Indiana member architects in good standing or AIA member architects in good standing with projects located in Indiana are invited to compete for Honor, Merit, and Citation Design Awards to be presented at the Annual AIA Indiana Design Awards Program. The submission deadline is July 29, 2016. CLICK HERE to learn more.

The 2016 AIA Indiana Design Awards Jury includes:  Paul Mankins FAIA - substancearchitecture (jury chair);  David Riz, FAIA -  KieranTimberlake; and  Marlon Blackwell, FAIA -  Marlon Blackwell Architects .

2016 AIA Indiana Service Awards - Call for Nominations

Named for three of Indiana's significant architects three of these awards have a strong history and importance to the architectural community of Indiana. Edward Pierre, Juliet Peddle and Walter Blackburn each impacted Indiana architects in their own special way and are recognized for those special contributions. The Distinguished Firm Award was added in 2009, the Young Architect Award was added in 2010, and the AIA Indiana Gold Medal Award was added in 2012. 

2016 winners will join an elite group of individuals and organizations in our state. AIA Indiana members are invited to carefully consider who in their communities should be nominated for each of these important recognitions. The nomination/submission deadline is July 29, 2016. Monumental Awards


Project submissions are being accepted for the Indy Chamber's 2016 Monumental Awards. In order to be considered, entries must be received electronically no later than 5 p.m, Friday, July 29. CLICK HERE to learn more.
2016 AIA KY/AIA IN Convention - Registration is Open!


Join us in downtown Lexington, KY, September 15-17 for the 2016 AIA Kentucky/AIA Indiana Convention!  To build upon our theme "CRAFT: Distilling Design," we make connections between our bourbon distillery heritage, our local and regional craft bourbon/beer boom, and the concept of CRAFT in architecture and design to explore the many contexts and meanings of CRAFT. Our educational programming has been CRAFTed to provide a wide range of learning opportunities within a loose three-track framework: Design; Practice; Building Science/Technology; plus, a special program for Emerging Professionals on Saturday.
 
Keynote speakers include: Paul Mankins, FAIA - Substance Architecture, Des Moines;  Jonathan Segal, FAIA, San Diego; and Julie VandeBerg Snow, FAIA - Snow Kreilich Architects, Minneapolis.
