Lenders should always be prudent in disbursing  loans to potential borrowers. In those instances where the value of the lender's collateral depreciates, the lender now has additional leverage against a Chapter 7 debtor to increase the probability that a debtor faced with hardship still repays the lender's loan.

FCC Update: New Rules for Businesses that Contact Customers via Phone and Text Message
