National Heights Baptist Church ~ E-News          July 2018
The month of July brings several opportunities for prayer and ministry at National Heights. Pray for Brian and our youth as they go to World Changers. Pray for our Boys Camp and Girls Camp at Baptist Hill. Pray that God will use these ministries to proclaim the message of Christ and glorify the Savior.

On Sunday, July 15 in our 6:00 PM service, we will view the Franklin Graham film Flying Blind. This film will bless you and challenge you in your walk with the Lord - don't miss it!

July is going to be a great month for ministry at NHBC. I can't wait to see what God is going to do through you!

School Supply Assistance
For many years, NHBC has assisted families in the community with needed back-to-school items. This year, the Stepping Out Ministry team is excited to partner with several other churches and organizations in the Ready. Set. Supply! Initiative through Springfield Public Schools. Through working together, our efforts have been magnified so that we are able to help many more students, specifically Fremont and Watkins this year. Next month, we will be able to tell you more specifically just how much God has blessed!  Contact Jeanne Carpenter with any questions about the giveaway, or if you would like information about contributing.

Special Thanks,
Preparing items for the blessing boxes creates a lot of material to be recycled.  Special thanks to John McGaughey, for always taking care of these items for us  ~Jeanne Carpenter

Messages from the Blessing Box:
- Thank you for helping in a practical way to meet the needs of our community.  Our prayer is that with every item taken, the receivers will see the face of Jesus and feel His touch.
-Adapted from a longer note: If it wasn't for this church's Blessing Box, I couldn't eat.  Thank you. I'm homeless and living on the street for going on six months now.  I'm exhausted. I need a home and stability again.  Please pray for me to have strength and not lose my faith in our Heavenly Father, for I know He has a plan for me.
- Thank you!  These blessing boxes have helped us through tough times.  We love it all.
