  Vacation Bible School 2016

VBS 2016 "Surf Shack" has been a blast!  Through song,  crafts,
and lessons, 118 kids  and 66 volunteers  caught  the wave of God's
amazing love.  We've been  overwhelmed  by all the  canned goods
collected for UCOM.

Please join us Friday, July 1 at 6:30 pm
for our VBS program in the Sanctuary.

THANK YOU
Thank you to all that came out to share in Celebrate Recovery at Lakewood's 8th anniversary! Special thank you to Jim Blythe, David Johnston, and their families for grilling us an awesome dinner. If you are struggling with a hurt, habit or hang-up, please ask Cyndi Morphew or Mark and Suzanne Biery to share the hope that CR and Jesus Christ has to offer you.                                                            -Cyndi Morphew

Thank you, thank you, thank you. During Bert's recent illness and surgery, we were simply overwhelmed with the prayers, calls, cards, food, flowers, and other expressions of support from our Lakewood family. You truly showed a loving Christian spirit at a difficult time in our lives.                           -Bert and Jean Oatman

Many thanks to all who helped in providing meals from the Body of Christ to the Paulraj, Cooksey, and Boyce families. You provided Sunday night dinner as well as Monday breakfast and Monday lunch. Thank you to Winn-Dixie for providing the balloons for Adam's celebration and to Stone Plus for providing the big, decorative rocks. Thank you Family Matters, Open Forum, and Terry Collins of New Beginnings for providing the meat. Thank you to Jane Wilcox, Mark Hohnadel, Beth Wetmore, Dee Scott, Sydna Breazeale, the Cagles, Wheelers, Gabriels, Bachmans, Hendersons, Popes, Cannons, Crawfords, Coxworths, Flemings, Johnsons, Pardues, and Bierys. Thank you also to everyone involved in the CAC and Sanctuary set up and clean up.               -Jo-Anne Beam and Mitzie Griffin
