Back to our Roots - Sweet Pea Juried Group Show
July 14 - September 1, 2017
Sweet Pea Festival is celebrating its 40th Festival! The past 40 years has brought about many great changes to the organization and its annual events. This year, to commemorate the growth of the Festival, they are going Back to Our Roots at the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture. A juried art show will be held in the Jessie Wilber (the old Sweet Pea office!) and Lobby Galleries this summer. This exhibit will highlight and give recognition to great artists from our region that have supported Sweet Pea and the Emerson for decades.

Bozeman Remembered- Photography by Charles Bolte
July 14 - August 25, 2017
Charles Bolte is working to depict the growth of Gallatin County not by showing his distaste for it, but instead seeking perspective of current longtime residents. He interviewed several Bozeman natives to capture a bit of personal history about this place so many are now yearning to call home.

The Emerson is thrilled to welcome Angela Zanolari to Galleria Hall! Growing up in Bangkok, Thailand as the daughter of a Swiss-Italian chef and a Chinese mother, Angela has always been struck by cultural and natural diversity. Much of Angela's childhood was spent exploring the natural wonders of Thailand- from the mountains to the beaches. This passion for nature has followed her throughout her life and drove her to settle in Montana to pursue her art and enjoy the may wonderful things that Bozeman has to offer. Angela is married with two children and two French bulldogs and enjoys hiking and outdoor activities when not in the studio.

INSIDE THE EMERSON |
|
|
Emerson History The Emerson is a thriving arts and community center located a block from historic downtown Bozeman. The building was originally an elementary school built in 1918, attended by thousands of Bozeman youth before its closure in 1991. |
Support the Emerson At the Emerson, we are grateful for the generous community support that allows us to serve as a vital arts hub in Bozeman. Over 250,000 people have come to the Emerson each year to attend performances, take classes, and participate in community events. |
Volunteer with the Emerson As a community arts hub, the Emerson relies on the time, energy and enthusiasm donated by community volunteers and interns. You can get involved by becoming a docent, by helping with events, children's classes or in our office. |
