|Sherwin-Williams offers Colormix 2013 Preview with Jackie Jordan
at IDAL Expo
Opposites attract us like never before, exerting a magnetic pull on the spectrum. Join us for Sherwin-Williams Colormix 2013 where we put today's color mood under the microscope to reveal its dueling influences that are shaping four divergent color directions. Jackie Jordan, Director of Color Marketing for Sherwin-Williams is responsible for the development of color systems, tools, and collateral material for both the trade and consumer markets. She also develops and presents color forecasts and educational seminars to thousands of design professionals and industry members throughout the year. |Cha-Ching! - July Recipe of the Month|
| Irrestible Allison!
I had planned to skip the recipe for July because this IDAL News is running a tad long with all of the convention biz in high gear, but I just could not resist sharing the wonderful Alison Wolley with you.
I have been getting more interest in contemporary finishes (Yay, finally!) and this recipe couldn't be better. It's elegant and edgy - my favorite combo. And it has endless variations.
I have not had the opportunity to take one of Alison Wooley's classes, but I have heard really great things about her work and her teaching - and her!
right now to check out this fabulous technique.
Don't forget that there is a new "How To" every week in
along with many other educational articles. Check in often.
The annual IDAL Convention and Expo is always an exciting time, 2012 is no exception. Incoming President, Janie Gulick is in charge of Expo this year and she has some really great events planned. This is also the time when new Board members step up and and those who have served 3+ years will be stepping down. This year there are three of each. IDAL is very excited to welcome Theresa Cheek, Kathy Wear, and Kami Tremblay to the Board of Directors. Board members who will be leaving, but staying close by, are Leslie Nesbitt, Carolyn Blahosky and, yours truly, Linda Banning.
Getting the IDAL News out every month is a daunting task for a Board member - I know because I did this for the last 14 issues. As a non-board member, I expect it to be pretty simple, so I have volunteered to continue as IDAL News Editor as long as there is a need. So -
See you next month!
Editor, IDAL News
