Celebrating Inner Independence

This week, the great people of our country will come together to share in good company, hearty food, and spectacular fireworks in celebration of our national independence.

While boisterous Independence Day festivities may seem far removed from the quiet, contemplative space of a yoga and pilates studio, mindful movement practices are inherently committed to the celebration of inner independence.
These modalities remind us to cultivate awareness of our bodies, to develop connection to our breath, and to foster understanding of the mind. Even our studio name "Moksha" is a Sanskrit term for liberation and freedom of mind, body and spirit. 

Wishing you and your loved ones an Independence Day filled with much moksha!

Pilates Mat Classes

Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m.

Great for beginners!
These classes feature traditionally inspired Pilates movements on the mat.  Pilates involves the entire body, with an emphasis on the deepest stabilizer muscles, commonly referred to as the "core". Harnessing the power of the core develops greater awareness and efficiency of movement while promoting healthy alignment and releasing unnecessary tension. The result is a strong, flexible, long and lean body!

No need to pre-register; simply pop in and join us!

Beginner Pilates Reformer Workshops

NOW OFFERING SPECIAL RATES for NEW STUDENTS
at Noon on Tuesdays with Nanci
For $100, you will get 4 group Pilates reformer classes at noon on Tuesdays with Nanci, our Master Trainer. You can use the special for any of Nanci's Tuesday noon group reformer classes (within a 60 day period), subject to available class slots. Class sizes are limited, so contact us to see if there are available slots in any particular class in which you are interested. The 4 classes must be used within a 60-day period.

Many people are intimidated by equipment in a Pilates studio. However, all of the equipment was designed to support you during the Pilates movement, facilitating proper alignment and form. This helps to create more efficient movement, allowing the body to work at its fullest potential in the development of strength, flexibility, balance and control.

Want to try the Pilates Equipment, but aren't able to join one of the workshops?
Ask us about our Solo or Duet sessions. You (or you and a friend) can meet with one of our Pilates trainers for a personalized session to meet your specific needs and goals. We do require advanced scheduling for these specialized Solo/Duet sessions.  Contact us to learn more.

Pilates Balanced Body Barre Classes

If you've not yet had an opportunity to join Shawn for one of these great classes, stop by and give it a try!

Barre technique has its foundation in traditional ballet and the work of a Russian dancer who created her own style of Pilates after a serious spinal injury. This class uses barre techniques and cardio dance. This 55-minute class is fun, energizing and set to music. Dance, Groove and Get Fit!

Did you know that you can train to be a Pilates instructor at our studio with our in-house trainers?

We are the premier Central Texas host site for Balanced Body Education.  This program offers comprehensive Pilates teacher training and follows the guidelines put forth by the Pilates Method Alliance.  We also offer Balanced Body Continuing Education (CEUs).
