NEPA Alliance Annual Dinner
September 28, 2017
NEPA AllianceNEPA Alliance will be hosting its Annual Dinner on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center, Scranton, PA.

This year's Keynote speaker will be Denny Corby, Corporate Speaker, Entertainer & Mentalist.  He performs regularly for a variety of corporate clients.

Last year our Annual Dinner was attended by over 350 business and community leaders from around the region reaching a milestone in attendance.  This year's event is sure to be another great networking opportunity.

The office space includes off street parking, shared use of meeting rooms and other common areas. NEPA PTAC at Tobyhanna Army Depot Industry Day
 
The NEPA PTAC was proud to support Tobyhanna Army Depot at its annual Industry Day event on June 21, 2017. More than 200 individuals attended, representing both the public and private sector. Karen Ostroskie, Senior Manager, NEPA PTAC, participated in a panel presentation featuring successful government contractors and economic development service providers. Karen presented on the services available through the NEPA PTAC including marketing and technical assistance to companies wishing to bid on government contracts. International Business Development Program
Trade Mission to Ireland
October 18-20, 2017
 
The Office of International Business Development (OIBD) is organizing a trade mission to Ireland from October 18-20, 2017.
 
Participants will receive pre-arranged, one-on-one business appointments, detailed background information on the companies, logistical assistance and follow-up assistance from the OIBD.
 
Registration fee is $600. The fee does not include travel, hotel or other business expenses.
 
Mission is limited to 10 companies, and the registration deadline is August 31, 2017.

Brazil & Argentina Trade Mission
November 5-11, 2017
   
The Conference of Great Lakes Governors is coordinating this trade mission to Brazil and Argentina.
 
Participation fee is $1,350 and covers group ground transportation, networking events, briefing and logistic assistance. NOT included are travel, individual transportation, interpreters, hotel and meal expenses.
 
Market research and customized appointment setting fees are $2,500 in Brazil and $2,300 in Argentina. Registration deadline is September 11, 2017.

NEPA Alliance has several loan products available for small businesses in Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne Counties.
 
These low cost, low interest loans offer reduced down payments and standard loan term maturities for machinery and equipment, land and building acquisition, construction and renovation.  Loan rates are fixed and generally below the prime lending rate.
 
Eligible businesses include Manufacturers, Industrial, Agriculture/Agribusiness, Hospitality & Tourism Related Enterprises, Recyclers, Day Cares, Computer Related Services, Advanced Technology, and Retail and Service Related Businesses.  Other business sectors may also qualify.

NEPA-BFC NEPA Alliance Business Finance Corporation has Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loans available for eligible small businesses in Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne Counties.
 
Financing Structure

A bank or other lender finances 50% of the project cost and takes a first lien position on the assets financed. The SBA 504 loan NEPA-BFC Tree finances 40% of the project cost up to $5.5 million and takes a second lien position. The borrower then contributes a down payment of as little as 10%.
