On Monday July 25, 90 Jersey Water Works members and colleagues convened in Jersey City to challenge how we define the role of water systems in the growth of the communities we live in and to celebrate the accomplishments of the collaborative. New Jersey Future is seeking a dynamic, organized and motivated individual with ample community experience to coordinate community outreach and engagement activities in several North Jersey combined sewer overflow communities. EDA Awards Energy Resilience Bank Funding to Bergen County Utilities Authority (New Jersey Business Magazine)
The board of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority awarded preliminary approval for a $27 million resiliency project at the Bergen County Utilities Authority, which provides wastewater treatment and solid waste management for more than 500,000 people. Energy Resilience Bank funds will be reserved for the project as it advances to the next phase of the ERB program review.
CCMUA Receives Grant to Implement Rain Barrel Program (NFWF)
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the William Penn Foundation have awarded the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority $134,300 to design, prioritize, and implement a stormwater management program that will install 600 rain barrels throughout the city of Camden.

Legislative Task Force To Tackle Drinking Water Infrastructure Issues
The New Jersey Legislature is appointing a six-person joint legislative task force to study and make recommendations concerning drinking water infrastructure. Three senators have been appointed: Bob Smith (D-17), Christopher Bateman (R-16), and Linda R. Greenstein (D-14). Stay tuned for Assembly appointees and more information on how the task force will operate.
