Mark Your Calendars: Lisette L. Trunk Show Aug. 15-22
Even though we are in the midst of summer, fall collections will come in strong this August when we will be hosting another week-long Lisette L. Trunk Show. With hundreds of choices, try on samples and use the fabric swatches to order your perfect pair of pants.

New Arrivals: FDJ

Our first shipment from French Dressing Jeans' Fall Collection has arrived. If you have been waiting for nice lightweight tops with ¾ sleeves, we have an excellent selection of higher crew necks, v-necks and cowls, so hurry in to shop. All of the FDJ tops pair perfectly with denim and sell fast.

In the denim department, FDJ does not disappoint! This grey jean in Suzanne Rise (straight fit, higher rise) is available in regular sizes and is an on-trend colour/wash for the summer to fall transition. Also in the Suzanne Rise, we have a stunning black and white fleck printed denim with front fly.

FDJ makes great jeggings! We love the new navy dot printed jegging that has just arrived.

New this season, FDJ has introduced a style with an elastic waist and a fly front - this hybrid style is so comfortable. We have this style in petite sizes in a skinny leg (great for tucking into boots) and a light denim wash.

Remember, FDJ makes denim in regular and petite sizes to fit all body shapes! Come in and let us help you find your fit.
New Arrivals: Joseph Ribkoff

Many of you enjoyed a preview of Joseph Ribkoff's Fall Collection at our successful Trunk Show in May; now the pieces are at KC's! Made in Canada and now offered around the world, Joseph Ribkoff is a Canadian success story and fashion powerhouse.

Style Tip: Clothing Care
Nothing is worse than ruining your new clothes with poor care at home. Putting in a bit of effort to care for your quality clothes will help them last longer and look better too. Here are our top tips for making your clothes last.
  • After you wear something, be sure to give it some air by hanging it outside your closet overnight. Airing out your clothes will remove wrinkles and let odours dissipate. You may find you don't even need to wash it; the less you wash it, the longer it lasts.
  • If you find a piece loses its shape, simply let it rest off the hanger between wearings so it can regain its shape.
  • You can remove fabric pills with a de-fuzzer tool, but if you don't have one, you can use a callous remover tool. Just be gentle.
  • Recover stretched-out sweater cuffs by rolling them in a wet washcloth to dampen them, then toss the sweater in the dryer for a few minutes.
  • Some chemicals can damage the fibres in fabrics easily. Let your deodorant and lotions dry completely before dressing.
  • Many women ruin a favourite top with their necklaces. Use an emery board to smooth out rough edges on the back of jewellery to prevent clothes from snagging.
  • If you get a stain, remove it as quickly as possible. The longer a spot sits, the harder it is to remove, and remember to never iron over a spot - the heat will set the stain.
  • Ink stains can be removed with water-soluble hair spray on washables and rubbing alcohol on dry clean fabrics.
  • Never over dry! Over drying causes static, pilling, shrinkage, wrinkling and puckering seams.
No matter what you do, consider washing your wardrobe on the delicate cycle and hanging everything to dry to preserve your clothes. Heat does the most damage to fabric. When you pull things from the wash, shake them to remove excess water, hang, and then tug gently on the seams to stretch the thread and minimize puckering. Wool and knits do best when dried flat. Remember to read labels and if you aren't sure, be sure to ask us!
Fall Collections will come in strong next month. At the end of August, we'll have new arrivals from Marble (designed in Scotland), Dolcezza (amazing jackets), David Cline (everyone's favourite tops), and many more! We continue to support made in Canada lines like Softworks Petites which will also be arriving in late August.

As a reminder, we are open on Sundays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for your convenience.

Sincerely,
Karen & Connie
